“Rīgas satiksme” informs that on May 4, public transport will be free of charge, during the holiday, there will be changes in the work of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres.
Public transport
On Wednesday, May 4, the trip in buses, trolleybuses and trams of “Rīgas satiksme” will be free of charge, therefore passengers do not have to register their e-ticket or code ticket in transport vehicles. During the holiday, public transport will run according to the day-off schedule.
Customer service centres
On Tuesday, May 3, the working hours of the customer service centre in Brīvības Street 49/53 will be from 8:00 until 16:00, on Friday, May 6, the working hours of the customer service centre in Brīvības Street 49/53 will be from 8:00 until 15:00, the other five customer service centres will work as usual on workdays – until 18:00.
On Wednesday, May 4, all customer service centres will be closed.
Parking lots
Riga municipal paid parking lots maintained by „Rīgas satiksme”, on May 4, will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a at the Riga Congress Centre – there for the car parking you will have to pay according to the valid tariffs.
From May 1 until September 30, the paid parking lot in Vecāķi (V zone) will work. The fee for the use of the paid parking lot in the territory of V zone is 2 EUR for the whole day, but on May 4, it will be available free of charge.
On May 7, the paid parking lot in the territory of Old Riga (R zone) will work from 06:00 until 24:00, and in Vecāķi (V zone) will work from 08:00 until 20:00 according to the valid tariffs. The other paid parking lots on May 7 will work until 17:00. The underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a at the Riga Congress Centre will work according to the valid tariffs.
On Mother's Day, May 8, paid parking lots maintained by “Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a at the Riga Congress Centre – there for the car parking you will have to pay according to the valid tariffs.
